Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent is responsible for all operations related to the full accounting cycle, as well as payroll processing. He or she ensures the accuracy of financial data, compliance with legal obligations, and the optimization of accounting processes, while providing efficient and rigorous service to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform billing, manage collections, and process accounts payable.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, tax financial reports (GST/QST), and monthly accounting entries.
  • Contribute to the overall budgeting process of the Port and support audits.
  • Process and administer payroll.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) in Accounting or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting.
  • Bilingualism (an asset).
